As media content marketers work hard to earn your consumer dollar, you need to become that much more discriminating. Enter Roku Netflix, a service that enables you to stream Netflix (and other internet streaming) video and audio content directly to your TV. The service (which Roku introduced two years ago) is disseminated via the Roku Player, a small, rather nondescript looking box which acts as the conduit by which all of it’s streaming content is delivered.

The first and most obvious reason for purchasing Roku Netflix is it’s immediate access to Netflix content. Current subscribers gain immediate access to the entire ‘Netflix Instant Watch’ library with no additional fees (on a Netflix unlimited plan) – not to mention access to Amazon Video On Demand with more than 50 thousand movies and shows. Together, they compliment one another nicely. HD quality content and new streaming partners are also added daily.

Forget about extra bills except those associated with your current subscription(s). That’s as expensive as it gets. Three different models offer you flexibility in choosing a player based on your exact needs. Both wired and wireless support is included (Ethernet & standard 802.11b/g/n wireless routers) with wi-fi/high definition playback capability built-in. Recent firmware upgrades have also increased it’s functionality.

The Roku Player connects to any standard television (old & new) unlike some similar marketed products. It’s also portable so once your account is activated you can view content from anywhere in the country. All you really need is a high speed internet connection, standard tv and basic account setup to get started. A referral program is even offered whereby you can earn additional rewards & freebies. Nice!

With Roku Netflix’s minimal cost, simple setup, commercial-free/instant viewing, access to unlimited streaming content and it’s portability convenience… seriously, what’s not to love? Two thumbs up (because I only have two)!

I bought this to be able to watch my Netflix movies without having to watch it only on my computer or having to order the DVDs by mail. I’d be lying to say that this device did not work for me. This device is AWESOME! I connected it so fast, that I was up and running in just under 3 minutes. Maybe even less. I have it hooked up with the regular AV cables it came with and it is very good on my 37″ High Def TV. I just have not gotten the HDMI cable and if I’m happy with it now then I am sure I will be more happy with the other cable. It is extremely easy to use and I would recommend this product to anyone looking to stream movies off of Netflix or other web sources.
